  • Mr Spinnler was CEO of Roche Nigeria Ltd from 1995 to 2007 and made Roche Nigeria a leading company in Nigeria.
  • As Chairman Mr Spinnler helped establish SWIPHA (Swiss Pharma Ltd.), a local entity responsible for production and in-licensing 3rd parties products from other company’s as well as marketing and selling Roche products.
  • Mr Spinnler continues to be part of the SWIPHA board as a non-ex. Director and Board member.
  • Currently involved with Switzerland, Nigeria and Ghana and is setting up a new company in Nigeria.
    He is also helping businesses in Africa not only in the Pharmaceutical sector but other areas as well such as Solar power / solar water pumps, security systems, communications, etc.
  • Mr Spinnler has very close links with Swiss Government (OSEC), the Swiss Embassy in Abuja and Accra and is a member of Swisscham – Africa and Environmental Technology Club of Switzerland which is part of Swisscham-Africa.
  • He also has close links to Dr. M. Uhomoibhi Nigerian Ambassador in Switzerland and works closely with him on matters of mutual interest.

  • Dr Michael O’Neill has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked for Merck Sharpe and Dohme, Laboratorios Almirall, Eli Lilly and Eolas Biosciences.
  • In addition to the UK, Michael has worked in Spain in the areas of pain, psychiatric and neurological disorders and was involved in setting up of a neuroscience lab there.
  • At Eli Lilly, UK he worked on a broad range of projects targeting CNS disorders and was responsible for project and portfolio management.
  • Michael was responsible for the Novel Targets portfolio for Eli Lilly bringing forward new projects into the pipeline.
  • He gained significant expertise in the evaluation, structuring and delivering of projects to key milestones, up to and including early clinical development.
  • Michael is an accomplished research leader with extensive program and portfolio management experience having lead specialist and multidisciplinary teams in UK, Europe and in the US.
  • Michael also worked closely with marketing and medical divisions within Lilly to provide support for marketed products such as Cymbalta and Zyprexa.
  • As a consultant Michael has helped companies and organisations gain funding or major partnerships, progress projects and reviewed their operations.
  • Michael has authored over 80 papers, book chapters, patents and abstracts.
  • He has held an adjunct appointment at the University of Leeds and supervised PhD students at Nottingham, Oxford and Sussex Universities.
  • Michael also held an Honorary Visiting Senior Lecturership at the Institute of Psychiatry, London and an Honorary Visiting Lecturership at the Science Policy Research Unit at the University of Sussex.
  • Michael also has a Diploma in Executive Coaching and Organizational Development.
  • He is an expert on BioMedical Research and has worked on a number of compounds currently in late stage development.
  • He specializes in Innovation and has extensive interest and experience in Education and Communication.

  • Since 1990 he has worked independently doing projects for hospitals in the UK and abroad.

  • Senior leader having worked in a number of regional and International roles.
  • Worked as a leader in running Phase II & III Clinical Development Programmes in CVS and CNS working with leading researchers in Europe whilst at Sterling Winthrop Research & Development.
  • Has wide experience running late Phase Development and Medical Affairs as both Regional & Country Medical Director roles in SE Asia and Australia with Beecham and SmithKline Beecham.
  • Responsible for building up a new R&D Unit in Australia covering Preclinical, Clinical Departments to develop a range of new products covering Metabolic, Cardiovascular, Respiratory and Vaccines.
  • Gained Senior Management experience working in a multicultural environment as Vice President of  International Clinical R&D and Medical Affairs with SmithKline  Beecham  and GlaxoSmithKline.
  • Had responsibility for all markets outside Europe and US while based at the Headquarters in London.

RAJEEV MEHTA is a dynamic, senior leader  with a proven track record within the pharmaceutical industry, he has successfully thrived on setting strategic direction and managing change within the Medreich Group an integrated Global Pharmaceutical Company. Rajeev possesses unique leadership and people management skills and is currently the Promoter of Medreich Group after relinquishing the group CEO position, that he held from 2004 to 2010 based in the UK. Medreich is an integrated global Pharmaceutical company operating in diverse regions across the globe through its own subsidiaries and though partnerships with regional and national companies. Medreich specializes in marketing of Branded Generics, Formulation Development, Regulatory affairs and Contract Manufacturin for key clients including GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi Aventis, Wyeth, Mylan and Adcock Ingram.

Rajeev has served as the Managing Director of Medreich Plc UK and managed a profit share joint venture with SmithKline Beecham now GSK to launch Healthcare Solutions Africa (HSA) a project aimed at providing quality pharmaceuticals in Africa. Rajeev has the operational experience of working in Africa as the Managing Director of Inlaks plc based in Nigeria from 1992 to 1995. Inlaks was a one of the largest trading companies in Nigeria involved in representing global giants like Westinghouse, UNISYS computers, GLOBUS soft ware, Ralston Purina, SmithKline Beecham, Abbott, May & Baker, Nattermann for distribution. Rajeev has also served as the General Manager of Agrochemical Business Group for Bayer India from 1989 to 1992. He joined Bayer in 1984 and held various positions like Sales Manager and Marketing Services Manager.

Prior to Joining Bayer he was associated for 10 years with The National Radio & Electronics Company Limited in India and worked in different positions starting from Management trainee to Regional Sales Manager in their Consumer Electronics Division.

Rajeev has the unique experience of living, working and managing businesses in diverse geographical locations, he is an experienced manager and a leader with a proven track record based on a rich career spread over three decades.

  • Dr. Ahmet Kayalı started his career in the pharmaceutical industry at Organon Turkey in 1984 as a product manager.
  • Before joining Glaxo Turkey in 1986 he spent a year at Eczacıbaşı as their medical manager.
  • At Glaxo he was appointed Marketing Manager in 1988 and then  Medical Director in 1989.
  • Following the merger of GlaxoWellcome and Smith Kline Beecham in 2000, Dr. Kayalı was appointed Medical and Regulatory Affairs Director at GSK Turkey where he   served as a Board Member at the same time.
  • Since 2007 Dr. Kayalı has been working as a freelance consultant.
  • Dr: Kayalı holds a BA degree in economics from Harvard University and MD degree from Istanbul University.
